Hi, I’m Christina.
As the owner of GraceNorth Psychotherapy, my work is born from something deeply personal: the desire to create the kind of supportive, compassionate space I once needed myself. GraceNorth was named in honour of my daughter, Grace , a reminder of the strength, softness, and sense of direction that motherhood can awaken within us. She is the “North” in GraceNorth, the grounding point, the compass, and the heart behind what this practice has become.
I’m passionate about supporting those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, burnt out, or quietly carrying a sense of not enough. So many of us were raised in environments that taught us to be capable, accommodating, and self-sacrificing…. Many of my clients come in feeling exhausted by expectations, unsure of where their needs fit, or stuck in old stories that no longer reflect who they know themselves to be.
My approach is deeply trauma-focused and rooted in attachment theory. I believe our earliest experiences shape the stories we tell ourselves, the relationships we choose, the patterns we repeat, and the parts of us we’ve learned to silence in order to survive. I integrate Emotion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and perinatal/postpartum support to help you explore and understand these patterns gently and with compassion.
In our work together, I offer a warm, steady space where you can feel your feelings without judgment, explore the roots of your story, and begin to shift the patterns that once helped you survive but now keep you stuck. Whether you’re navigating identity, relationships, stress, parenthood, trauma, or the sense that something just feels “off,” I’m here to help you make sense of it in a way that feels grounding, safe, and empowering.
GraceNorth was built to be a place where client feel truly seen, understood, and supported because they’re human and deserving of care. My mission is to help you reconnect with yourself, soften old narratives, and move toward a life that feels steadier, more spacious, and more aligned with who you are becoming.
